How is demi & permanent color different?

Demi-permanent and permanent hair colors are very different; they interact with the hair cuticle in their own way. A Demi shade slightly lifts the outer cuticle to deposit within the hair shaft and does not penetrate as deep as a permanent to ensure your natural melanin isn't permanent altered. Demi shades offer a low-commitment option that fades gradually and effortlessly, while permanent color requires a higher commitment and must grow out over time.
